Assalam alaikum,
On the question of Greeting/Respecting/Sending salat on Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, the poet Amir Sulaiman said:--
''The affair of love cannot be tallied. You are compelled, you want nothing
in return. Whether you get or not, is not in question. Make salawat until
your heart shatters like a pomegranate, until there is nothing. And you will
see things you didn't even aspire to. Things that you didn't even think of...''
Indeed, it is recommended to have a set daily litany...some programme of engaging in Zikr...especially salat ala Nabiy. But when we are absolutely immersed in sending salat on the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wasallam..,yearning, remembering, that is preferred.
